I didn't realize until just a day or two ago that I didn't post about our 4th week of homeschooling, so instead of doing two separate posts I decided to combine last week with two weeks ago.
The girls and I ended up taking this past Thursday off and only did light schoolwork on Friday. Both days were unplanned time off. I had a root canal on Thursday that took a heck of a lot longer than I thought it would and by the time I got home my tooth and gum was hurting to the point that any of the work we could have done (which was not very much) was not worth pushing through with the amount of discomfort I was in. On Friday, we did just the bare minimum of work because Hurricane Ian hit Charlotte. It wasn't anything too major - just a good amount of wind and a lot of rain, but it was so dark and gross outside and it isn't too often that we get to experience the remnants of a hurricane that we just enjoyed staying at home and chilling. This is one of the benefits of homeschooling. Sometimes there are just days when schedules need to be altered and our family has the flexibility to do so. We will pick up where we left off tomorrow and work through October's school work as planned.
