Meet Miles

After three and a half years without a golden retriever in our lives, we finally remedied that situation and brought a 6 week 6 day old puppy into our home on Christmas day. Bobby and I chose to name him Miles to signify both the physical and literal miles we have traveled to get to the point in our lives that we are finally at. We have worked a long, long time to reach this goal, and it is so exciting to finally have achieved it.

I think Bobby and I have determined that we will never be without a golden retriever in our lives again. We love that breed so much, and the two golden retrievers we have spent our lives with (Lily and Sammy) brought us so much joy that we just don't want to go without that again.

Miles is such a sweet boy. He is a joy. He is smart and energetic and loving and fun. He is the perfect addition to our family, and I am so glad we get to call him ours.

Miles chewing on an empty paper roll holder on the carpet in the front room.

Miles sound asleep on the wood floor in the kitchen stretched out with his sammy legs.

Miles stretched out (again) in front of the tv stand on the wood floor.

Miles asleep in front of his cage when it was in the living room. His back two paws are crossed one over the other.
He sleeps in such cute positions.

Baby, Baby Miles - when he was just a couple of days new to our house, sleeping with his ear flipped up in front of the garbage can.

Baby, baby miles asleep on the towel in front of the sliding glass door.

Miles asleep on the carpet ing the living room. His front paws stretched out and his head is laying on top of them.

Babyk, baby miles curled in a 'c' position asleep on the living room carpet.

Miles asleep in his crate with his back two feet dangling outside of it.

Baby Miles in Elizabeth's arms wrapped in a blue towel after his bath.

Miles sitting in dad's arms on the couch all wet after being out in the rain on Christmas day.

Miles putting his hear on your lap as you sit on the couch in your yellow uncg tshirt and Josh's old black and blue flannel pants. Miles is sitting on an ohio state blanket.

Miles standing on his hind legs trying to lick Josh's face as he crouches down to pet Miles in the kitchen.

Elizabeth in her red and black flannel pajama bottom and a tshirt crouched down in the backyard petting miles.

Dad holding Miles on our pit stop (we thought miles had to poop because he was passing gas so much) on the way home from picking him up from the breeder.

Miles sleeping squished in the corner of the couch where the two pieces meet. He is sleeping with his animal friends and a blanket with his paws stretched out and his head on his paws.

Miles sound asleep in front of the christmas tree.
