Back On My Feet

I had the best laid plans for how I wanted to begin the new year. I had everything all organized and put together....until a massive cold broke out through our house. Andy, Elizabeth, and Sarah are fighting the last remaining bits of the cold. Joshua (lucky duck) never got sick at all. Bob and I were the first two of our family to catch this cold, and for some reason, it grabbed a hold of me and I couldn't shake it for 2+ weeks. I ended up getting bronchitis and an ear infection. I can honestly say it has been years since I was so sick. I hope it is many, many years that I am that sick again. I really don't get sick too often and when I do I can usually be back on my feet again in just a few days. Two weeks was too long.

As you can imagine, I am behind on just about everything. While I was down and out I tried to keep the house straightened up and the laundry kept up on, but other than that nothing else was going on. Everyone fended for themselves in terms of meals, errands, school, etc...

I am now feeling better (even though I am still not 100% healthy). I am taking things slowly in terms of getting my house back up and running. I figured I was sick for a little over two weeks - it will probably take me that long to get back on my feet again.

I hate being out of commission. This house runs so much better when I am on top of things. I am so thankful that I am feeling better.
