A Carrie Underwood Concert With Their Dad

Elizabeth was born with a love for music just like her Dad. Sarah has developed a love for music since her diagnosis and subsequent vision loss. Music is something she can experience with her whole body. Elizabeth always has a song in her heart and is constantly humming or singing a tune - much to the annoyance of her siblings.

With this knowledge of the love of music our two girls have in their hearts when Bob and I heard that Carrie Underwood was coming to Las Cruces we knew that we had to get tickets for the girls. We purchased the tickets in December and let the girls in on the surprise. They were beyond excited. As the months have passed it seemed to them that the concert was never going to arrive. Lo and behold, time did indeed pass as it always does, and last night the girls got to see one of their favorite musicians. (Taylor Swift holds the top spot in Sarah's heart though.)

Bob said that the girls had a blast singing along at the top of their lungs as Carrie Underwood performed her best hits. He even said that he had to tell Elizabeth to not sing so loud so that those around them could actually hear Carrie Underwood sing - our girl was rocking it out that loud. Does this news surprise anyone? I didn't think so.

They all came home around 11:30 pm last night tired, but very happy. It was a good night for all. Life is about experiences just like this. I am glad my girls got to create this memory with their Dad.

She was so excited for this concert.

Tickets in hand - ready to go!

Fun times with Dad!!

Elizabeth has her cowgirl boots on so that she and Carrie Underwood can rock the country style together.
