Through Sarah's Eyes


Having a child with a chronic disease is exhausting on so many levels. Today I am weary in more ways than I care to admit or think about.

Sarah has developed a passion as of late for photography. (I don't know if this is another of life's cruel ironies, but I do know that it gives her joy so I am just going to go with the flow, and not think too much into it.) In an attempt to cheer her spirits up yesterday I brought our new camera to the hospital in order to allow her to capture the hospital as she sees it. Here are the pictures that she took:





These dogs are part of what is called the "doggie brigade". These dogs and their owners come visit the children in their rooms. They are wildly successful, and as you can see Sarah's favorites are those that remind her of Lily.














Sarah's room, this time, overlooked the lobby. Her window was the one on the right right above the horse gallery.



She took a picture of this because it reminded her of the New Orleans Saints - Josh's favorite football team.






The art room was open this visit and we spent a good amount of time there Saturday afternoon. This was the first thing she created:
